Case Study:
Full Contract Administrator, Project Management and Principal Designer role under CDM Regs 2015 provided

In our role as Full Contract Administrator and Principal Designer under CDM Regs 2015, we on phased external fabric repairs including robust structural repairs, part rebuild of bay window opening supports, ornate details and improvement to flat roofs, rainwater goods, defective timbers and redecoration off the back of findings of our full PPM survey report.

  • Initial Inspection: Carried out a Planned Preventative Maintenance Survey of the external fabric, included prioritised works and budget costs. Noted cracking and movement around the bay, involvement of a Structural Engineer and specification collation.

  • Specification and Tender Process: Developed and wrote detailed specifications, issued them for competitive tender, and compiled a report analysing costs and providing recommendations.

  • Stakeholder Liaison: Maintained continuous liaison with residents and the client to ensure all parties were informed and engaged throughout the project.

  • Project Meetings and Monitoring: Attended and documented pre-start meetings, closely monitored the progress and quality of works through regular weekly inspections and monthly progress meetings, and managed site processes and valuations. Liaison with Structural Engineer.

  • Regulatory Compliance and Coordination: As Principal Designer, ensured full compliance with CDM Regulations 2015, facilitating effective communication between the client and the principal contractor to maintain safety and regulatory standards.
