Case Study:
Initial Building Survey report/Full Contract Administrator, Project Management and Principal Designer role under CDM Regs 2015 provided

As part of our extensive project oversight responsibilities, we performed an initial building survey and acted as the Full Contract Administrator, Project Manager, and Principal Designer under CDM Regulations 2015. Our services included:

  • Initial Roof Inspection: Conducted a detailed inspection of the roofing system, reporting back to the client with observations. We coordinated with the roof manufacturer to obtain core samples essential for proposing a new warm deck roof system, ensuring it meets current regulatory standards.

  • Specification and Tender Management: Authored detailed project specifications and issued them for competitive tender. We analyzed the tender returns and provided a comprehensive report on costs, alongside strategic recommendations to optimize project outcomes.

  • Client and Resident Liaison: Maintained regular communication with both residents and clients, ensuring all parties were informed and engaged throughout the project.

  • Project Meetings and Documentation: Participated in pre-start meetings, meticulously documenting discussions and decisions. Monitored and reviewed the project's progress and quality through weekly inspections and monthly progress meetings. Managed financial valuations and other essential process documentation.

  • Principal Designer and Compliance: Fulfilled the role of Principal Designer, ensuring strict adherence to CDM Regulations 2015. This role included ongoing liaison between the client and the principal contractor, facilitating compliance and safety throughout the project lifecycle.
