Case Study: Full Contract Administration, Project Management, and Principal Designer Role

We managed a comprehensive project encompassing Contract Administration, project management, and Principal Designer responsibilities under CDM Regulations 2015, following a PPM style survey. Carried out feasibility survey to prioritise works based on main issues and working to available budgets.

  • Initial Surveying and Investigation: Conducted all upfront PPM style survey, including local investigations to determine the cause of leaks. Reported back with findings following detailed investigation works and defect diagnostics. Liaison with Structural Engineer on porch movement and alignment issues.

  • Specification Preparation: Compiled a full specification, including preambles, preliminaries, schedule of works, and drawings. Issued these documents for competitive tender and provided a tender report on costs with recommendations.

  • Resident and Tenant Liaison: Maintained continual communication with residents and chaired tenant liaison meetings. Organized and oversaw input from Structural Engineers.

  • Contract Administration: Carried out contract administration duties, including monitoring the progress and quality of works through weekly inspections and monthly progress meetings. Managed site processes and valuations effectively.

  • CDM Regulations Compliance: Ensured full compliance with CDM Regulations 2015, fulfilling the role of Principal Designer to uphold stringent health and safety standards.
